Creating Public Status Pages

A public status page shows your users whether your services are operating normally. StackBloom Monitor lets you create a fully branded status page in minutes — no extra tools required.

Step 1: Go to Status Pages in Monitor

1

In the Monitor sidebar, click Status Pages. This section lists all your existing status pages and shows their current visibility (public or private). Click New Status Page to start creating one.

  • You can create multiple status pages for different products or environments
  • Each status page gets its own unique URL on the StackBloom subdomain
  • Status pages can be public (no login) or restricted to logged-in users

Step 2: Create a new status page with a name, subdomain, and logo

2

Enter a name for your status page and choose a subdomain. Your status page will be available at your-subdomain.status.stackbloom.io. Upload your logo and set the page title.

  • Subdomains must be lowercase, alphanumeric, and may include hyphens
  • Your logo appears in the header of the public status page
  • The page title is displayed in browser tabs and search engine results
  • Add a description to explain what services the page covers

Step 3: Add monitors to display on the status page

3

Select which monitors should appear on your status page. You can group related monitors into categories (e.g., "API", "Website", "Dashboard") for a cleaner layout.

  • Each monitor shows its current status (Operational, Degraded, Outage)
  • A 90-day uptime bar is displayed beneath each monitor
  • Groups help users find the relevant service quickly
  • You can rename monitors specifically for the status page without changing your internal names

Step 4: Customize the appearance and branding

4

Use the Appearance settings to match the status page to your brand. Choose a primary color, background, and whether to show historical incident data and uptime percentage.

  • Primary color is applied to the header bar and status badges
  • Toggle the 90-day uptime history bar on or off
  • Enable or disable the incident history feed at the bottom of the page
  • Add a "Subscribe to updates" button so users get email notifications

Step 5: Publish and share your status page URL

5

Click Publish Status Page to make it publicly accessible. Copy the URL and add it to your website footer, documentation, and email signatures so users always know where to check for service status.

  • Published pages are live immediately and require no deployment
  • Share the link in your app's navigation or help center
  • Custom domain support is available on Pro and higher plans
  • The status page updates automatically as monitor states change

💡 Tip: Use a custom domain (e.g., status.yourcompany.com) for a more professional appearance. Custom domains are available on Monitor Pro and Business plans and can be configured in the Status Page settings under Domain.
