Connecting InboxBridge Integrations
InboxBridge connects your email workflow to the tools your team uses every day. Link Slack for instant notifications, use webhooks to trigger custom actions, or connect Zapier and Make to automate your workflows.
Step 1: Access Integrations Settings
In InboxBridge, navigate to Settings > Integrations. You'll see a list of available integrations with their current connection status.
- Green status indicates an active, working connection
- Red status means the connection has an error or needs re-authorization
- Each integration can be connected, disconnected, or re-configured independently
Step 2: Connect Slack Workspace
Click Connect Slack and authorize InboxBridge to access your Slack workspace. You'll need to be a Slack workspace admin or have permission to install apps.
- Select which Slack channels InboxBridge can post to during authorization
- Once connected, select specific channels for each routing rule
- The InboxBridge bot will appear in your connected channels
- Test the connection by clicking Send Test Message
Step 3: Set Up Webhook Destinations
Webhooks let you send email data to any URL when routing rules fire. In Integrations > Webhooks, click Add Webhook and enter your endpoint URL.
- Choose what data is included in the webhook payload (headers, body, sender, subject)
- Add custom HTTP headers for authentication (e.g., a bearer token or API key)
- Test the webhook by sending a sample payload to your endpoint
- View delivery history and response codes in the webhook log
Step 4: Configure Zapier or Make Connections
To connect InboxBridge with Zapier or Make (Integromat), use the webhook integration method. Generate a unique Zapier/Make-specific webhook URL from the integrations page.
- Zapier: Use "Webhooks by Zapier" as the trigger, paste the InboxBridge webhook URL
- Make: Use the "Webhooks" module as the trigger in your scenario
- The payload includes all email metadata — use it to create CRM records, support tickets, or any other action in your connected apps
- InboxBridge also has a native Zapier app in the Zapier marketplace
Step 5: Test Your Integration Flow
After configuring integrations, run an end-to-end test by sending a real email that matches one of your routing rules. Check that all destinations receive the data correctly.
- Use the Test Mode toggle to simulate email routing without actually sending messages
- Check the Integration Logs to see the full request and response for each triggered integration
- If a webhook fails, InboxBridge will retry up to 3 times with exponential backoff
💡 Tip: Use the InboxBridge webhook to automatically create support tickets in your ticketing system whenever a customer emails your support address — this eliminates manual ticket creation and ensures no customer request is missed.
