Common Issues

Special characters appear incorrectly?

Solution: When opening in Excel, use "Data → From Text" and select UTF-8 encoding.

For Google Sheets, encoding is handled automatically.

File download not starting?

Check these common causes:

  • Browser pop-up blocker is enabled - allow pop-ups for StackBloom
  • Very large exports (10,000+ responses) may take 30-60 seconds
  • Try a different browser if issues persist
Empty export or missing responses?

If your export is empty or incomplete:

  • Check your date range filter isn't excluding responses
  • Ensure you have responses in the form
  • Contact support if the issue persists
