Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my own contract templates?

Yes. You can import an existing Word document or paste your contract text into the editor and save it as a custom template. Your custom templates appear alongside the built-in library for easy reuse.

How do merge fields work?

Merge fields are placeholders like {{client_name}} or {{contract_value}} that you insert while drafting a template. When you create a contract from that template, ContractBloom presents a simple form where you fill in each variable. The completed values populate throughout the entire document automatically.

How far in advance will I receive renewal reminders?

By default, ContractBloom sends reminders at 90 days, 30 days, and 7 days before a contract expiry date. You can customize these intervals in your account settings and choose which team members receive each notification.

Does ContractBloom connect to E-Sign for signatures?

Yes. ContractBloom integrates natively with StackBloom E-Sign. Once a contract is approved, click "Send for Signature" and the full signing workflow launches. Signers receive a secure email link, and the completed signed PDF is automatically archived in ContractBloom with a tamper-evident audit trail.

What formats can I export contracts in?

You can export contracts as PDF, Microsoft Word (.docx), or plain text. Signed contracts export as a single PDF package that includes the signed document and the full audit trail, suitable for legal record-keeping.
